Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'm studying... Law of the Armed Combat.

Are Messengers combatants?

The Law of Armed Combat:

Requirements to qualify as lawful combatants.

1. Be a member of a unit under responsible command. (Dispatcher?)
2. Be subject to a code of discipline (rules of the Alley Cat)
3. Comply with the law of armed conflict. (see two)
4. Carry Arms openly. (U locks are not concealed.)
5. Wear Uniforms or other clearly distinguishable identifying clothing. (Bag, Shants..)

I'm pretty sure by those standards kids flipping burgers at Mcdonalds would also fall under the law of armed combat.

1. manager
2. corporate rules
3. see two
4. those spatulas can be pretty damn sharp
5. dorky hats and matching shirts

Whether this indicates that the law of armed combat is throwing a net far too wide or not is up for debate. I think you could classify anyone stuck in menial labour positions as "combatants" in the war of class. However, I've never heard of the law of armed combat so I could be missing the point completely here...

So we're talking about the brash, downtrodden messengers launching a raid against the evil corporation McDonald's? I predict hordes of unkempt cyclists jumping over fast-food counters nationwide.
This, however, begs the question... Which is a more effective melee weapon, a New York Fahgettaboudit or Hot Fry Grease?

I then forsee the entire thing falling apart when their bloodlust is overcome by drunkmunchies and they all become unable to continue fighting due to greaseverdosing on frys and milkshakes,.
