Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? NAHMBS - Attendees introduce yourselves.

I won't be taking part in the San Francisco - San Jose race this weekend, but I will be attending the NAHMBS. Introduce yourself if you're there on Saturday or Sunday, its always good to put faces to names. I'm the tall guy with the camera. Brad from Pittsburgh. That should narrow it down.

I'll be going both Friday and Saturday. I'm trying to think of a way to be identifiable without looking like too much of an idiot I'll most likely have my Maryland flag reload bag with me...

Devolution...
If you have a "professional" camera and want to get into the NAHMBS you are going to need a press pass.. Not sure if you do..just did not want an out of towner to show up at the door and have the option of letting the guard hold your camera, or go away pissed.

I am going to try to make it over..I will be the tall guy(square) without his camera...

I know. I've got a press pass. I hope it is actually enforced, as at Interbike you have to stand in line after line to get a photo pass that authorizes you to walk in/out of the show area with your camera and freely take pictures, but it isn't really enforced. You know, unless you have the big camera and are actually working rather than updating your blog on your vacation.

In my experience, small digicams fly just about anywhere, and the odd person who makes a stink about the lack of press credentials is typically easily circumvented.

should we all wear BF arm bands or something to distinguish ourselves? how about a cycling cap cocked to the side that way we can avoid the always awkward "hey, are you from the internet?"

ok all joking aside, this is Dennis, asian dude with long hair (there's more than one of us). i'll be racing. when non-helmeted i'll be sporting a black Element Skateboards cap.

here's my ride: https://www.flickr.com/photos/leecomm...n/set-1476606/

see you there!
