also this is what roland burns (r.e.load part owner) wrote about this years race:
it's time again...our yearly april fool's race/fun ride is coming up. we've got tons of sponsors, lots of beer, and we usually get upwards of 150 people in on it. guaranteed fun! you don't have to be a messenger to be in this; it's scavenger hunt-style with loads of wacky checkpoints (some fake "fool" checkpoints too). For a measly $5 you get a limited edition race tee, a spoke card, race and after party entry.
Saturday April 1st
registration:2pm -------- race:3pm SHARP
$5 entry
register in the back alley of R.E.Load's store
608 N 2nd st (bet fairmount and spring garden)
sponsored by:
R.E.Load, Kryptonite, Level components, Pabst, Swobo, Depot Japan, Fabric Horse, Gerikmade, Randl, Deller, Cadence clothing, Outlaw Print co., and more!
proceeds to benefit NACCC 2006 (www.phillybma.org)

Looks like its supposed to be almost 70 degrees saturday... though there is a chance of rain. Lets cross our fingers!

Well, I'm officially being induced into fatherhood on sat, so I won't be there. Sadly. It looks like its going to be a perfect day for a race too.

on another note, I proved that as far as my person is concerned, riding with a dysfunctional brake while talking on a cellphone and having no intention to stop at a stop sign can put your physical ability to participate in jeopardy. I'll be fine, me-1 darwin-0 (so far) *yes i realize how dumb this was* *no I know should not have needed this lesson*

dude, you're giving away the fake checkpoints... but wait, is it a c-section? otherwise i mean how do you know tomorrow is the day? I mean biking around the city you could be there pretty quickly when labor starts... but i guess you have your priorities straight

If the maternity ward was a fake checkpoint, you'd probably get a punch in the face from a woman in labor.

haha. I am telling roland to put that as a checkpoint. anyway. this is tomorrow. come out. I will be at a checkpoint. look for a dude with a small dog in his bag riding a marinoni track bike. Don't know where I will be but I know I will be drunk with my dog..
