it's fun to watch nerdy kids try and namedrop belton or monty to sound like graffiti writers any time spray paint is mentioned. some of you apparently didn't get the memo about graf going out of style in the late 80's.

little bit of google searching turned up nothing much aside from the fact that bulltek has them for twice as much. no name on the spokes, but they're bladed 14g. if they're factory made velocity wheels, maybe you could contact them and see where they came from.

of course, it's a hell of a lot easier to get a can of spray paint.

mcatano 03-08-06 09:56 PM

I've seen a lot of lowrider bikes with gold spokes. Maybe explore that avenue?

I'll try and keep up. or has this thread been my memo? sorry but i'm still into graf, and don't apriciate being demeaned by strangers. i'll try and fix this as soon as possible. hopefully a few more months on this forum and i will be as bitter and sarcastic as the next guy... you know what, i think it's already working. thanks guys...

moz138 03-09-06 03:29 AM

My guess is that people in Oakland might know a little more intimate history of graf than those in Kansas City.

haha that was my first thought when i read that..maybe you should go to...i dont know. any art show of an artist under 30 and then let me know how relevant graf is today. probably the biggest trend in art and design right now. shepard fairey ring any bells? tes one from tampa just did a piece for kanye west and sprite.

crushkilldstroy 03-10-06 03:02 AM

i can't believe people actually took me seriously in this thread. especially after my extremely smart-assed second remark. maybe people need to not take their **** so serious, but whatever.

and just to add more fuel to the fire.....i wouldn't ever consider shepard fairey a graffiti artist. dude got huge with stencils and stickers. stencils and stickers don't make you a graff artist.

now back to the topic at hand.......

moz138 03-10-06 03:14 AM

not a graffiti artist!? you may not consider him one but he, in fact, does. but regardless...but my point was that it is probably one of the most influential forces in modern graphic design and art at the moment.
graffiti isnt just spraypaint and tagging. tons of graffit artist use stencils...also, way to criticize people for taking you too serisouly, then, keep arguing your point.
