Are Reload ambidextrous
sorry for the bag thread, but then if you cared you wouldn't even be reading this, so to all those not reading this, I'm sorry for starting a bag thread.
If you're reading this maybe you know if Reload bags can be worn either way, or if there is a right shoulder option. |
RELoad will make it either way, as for switchable, I dont think so
"6. Choose the shoulder you would like the bag to rest on: For about 90% of the population, this will be the left shoulder - the adjustment buckle for the main strap will be resting on your right hip. If you are opposite, choose the right shoulder. If none is indicated, we will make the bag for the left shoulder by default." |
bailey work's are though (i think)

Speaking of bags on the left or right shoulder. I wish I would have ordered my bag for the right shoulder. When I'm riding and look over my left shoulder the bag sometimes blocks my vision. I didn't think about this when I bought it. I will next time.

I actually had to recently train myself to be left-shouldered (instead of right shouldered)... kinda wierd at first, but lots more bag options.
|
I been carrying it over the right shoulder for too many years. I never had to think about it before as my bags have always been symmetrical.
I feel like all those left handed guitarists now :p |
I bought a stock Reload and had to learn to switch shoulders. I'm actually happier now with the bag over my left.

I was looking at one of the customs on Reload's site, but after seeing the adjustment assembly on MDRawk's,decided against it because the buckle would be on top of my shoulder. I wound up buying a Bailey's Pro,and the strap is totally ambi(and very comfortable). The strap is reversible, and the buckle is in about the center of your chest. It's a size large, though,so it's too big for daily use and only hauls groceries and booze to parties. I'm using a medium Timbuk2,which rides fine on my shoulder, but is tricky to adjust. I ordered some 2" web strap and nexus buckles off eBay,and I'm going to mod the strap so it'll work like the one on my Bailey. |
Yeah, that's kinda how I am. I use my left for adjusting clothing, bags etc, carrying large objects, towing bikes. The right hand controls the front brake (MC background as well). This is pretty crucial, when I cary a lrage object (like my son's wheel chair, or tow another bike, it's always with my left hand, and I really need the brake in my right hand to be the front one going down hills. Anyway, right shoulder is non-negotiable, but it doesn't seem to be a big problem. Chrome and REload both offer a right shoulder option, and Bailey is reversible, so now I just gotta figure out which bag carries my **** best, oh, and how I'm gonna afford it. Thanks fer the input.

Seagull Bags makes nice right shouldered stuff custom like. The guy who makes the bags is right shouldered, so he feels our pain.

I feel like all those left handed guitarists now :p anyway, baileyworks superpro is SORT OF ambi, only THIS: the 'back pocket' is on the right shoulder side of the bag, so if you wear it over your right shoulder (as i do, having been a strict lefty in every sense my whole life... like i said... know my pain), it becomes a lot less useful. that is the one and only complaint i have with mine... the rest of that bag is super sweet. |
ps this thread has reminded me to go back to the baileyworks site, which they claimed was being redone, and then it shut down. low and behold, it's back up! the whole site doesn't seem to be put together yet, but they have REAL PICTURES of their bags now... lol. <3 bw.
