ok, so I've had the Jonny for one week and it's been to NYC, Chicago, and (of course) DC. Later this month, he'll be flying with me to Vegas and SF. Yes, S&S Couplers rock. Which raises a question...

should I keep track of Jonny's travels somehow?
What do you think?

stickers on the frame are NOT an option!
EDIT: suggesting defacing the bike in anyway will result in actual or virtual facepunch.

You could make a spokecard that is a map of the US and then as you travel places, add stars to the card to signify which cities you've hit.

Back when I thought I could get away with spending most ofmy young life travelling the world, I toyed with the idea of getting a tattoo across my shoulders that was one of the spread out maps of the globe and getting stars added for each city/ place I visited in my travels.

Then I decided I wanted to go to grad school and make alot of money instead of being a penniless bum.

New spoke-card made of a postcard from each city. You can just keep the most recent (or coolest) one in the spokes, and keep the rest in a little photo album. On the back of the cards you can write about what brought you and your johnny to the destination. It's scrap-booking!

maybe just let memories be memories and allow them to live in the section of your brain/heart that is reserved for such treasures? postcards/souvenirs are worthless, really, in relation to the actual experience... why collect things in your hands and on your shelves when you can keep them safe up in the memory?

or just make a list or something. or keep a diary but have your bike write it, since this is about jonny afterall.

Eh, no.

Bottleopeners. Carry and use the B.O. you got at the last stop. You can dangle it from your saddle.

I think you should have "Jonny" spoke cards that you give to bikers/friends/bums in the cites that you visit. That way your Jonny will live after its gone.

I like that idea. And the photos in each city. Just like in the movie "Amelie", you can even send Jonny on some journeys with you (flight attendant) friends, just to take the picture.

I love the spokecard idea. Postcard with a little note on the back, and some lamination would be perfect.

At each stop buy a bottle of local wine. Hang the corks from a chain under the saddle.
