Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? In '92 my bikes had chain guards and I was going to get my pants real dirty in ditches building "forts" with the neighborhood kids. I wasn't worried about chain grease when I was just going to toss my bike somewhere in the front yard. Then my dad would yell at me to move my bike because I'd be sorry when someone stole it.

Whoa...flashback. Sorry.

fixed gear riding.

oh ok... well, then. my sandy vagina comment still rides then.

Hey, guys, I lost track of what's going on, but I want to give a big shout out to the guy who restored the Fabian thread, whoever it is. You're the man!

It's quite funny how the bickering went on here for several pages here after it was announced that Flipoff Kid is back in full glory...

I am so not a hipster. For one thing I wear cycling clothes and a helmet, but I ride my bike farther than down to the coffeee shop or the liquor store. I also don't do stupid **** just for the "LOOK".

If I wanted to be down with you guys it would require amoung other things: unemployment, a childish concern for what others think about me, and an ability ape the behavior of Holden Caulfield. And a poorly built bike with oddly laced wheels.

If you didn't have such a concern for what people think why would you post here? Seems a little hypocritical to me...

The Rev and I just had a nice little conversation. I think he really does not care and is just ****in with you guys, like we do to him. But if you have a radial laced wheel in front, the Rev and I both dislike you. Next they will be making me a mod.

PS. Yamaguchi, one builder to rule them all.
