Cross fork or road fork

Spicer has a really good sale on forks right now. I can't decide whether to get the road forks or the cross forks. The cross forks are threadless (thats good!) but the road forks have a nicer looking crown (thats bad.). I'd be able to use the same brakes with the cross fork that I'm using now (thats good!), but i'm not sure that the road forks would have clearance for my fenders(thats bad.). I'm so confused... what do you guys think?

you have two "goods" for the cross fork and zero for the road fork. where is the confusion?

Cross forks for the win. Who doesn't want to cram a 40c nobby in their front fork?

The crown on the road forks is my one good. The thats bad was more for the ugly crown on the cross forks. And without a few goods and bads, the simpsons frogurt reference didn't work. Looks like it will be the cross forks.

Except quill stems look so much cooler. Maybe I'll get the road fork.

If you get the road fork, you'll need a new headset, stem, and brakes. Add that into your cost before you jump on board.

I have a threaded fork on the bike now, so I'll need to get the new stuff if I get the cross fork. I will need to get a new brake, but that doesn't really bother me. I thought you could use the same headset with a threaded or threadless fork... I need a new one anyway.

Only the YST G-force headset takes either.
