The bike path in the Panhandle is the worst. Covered in mud, holes, branches, bums, babies, strollers, people just standing, etc. What gets me is that there is actually a walking path 20yrds away that no one uses.

Bike lanes are like skate parks, they just give people a reason to tell you you are not allowed on their precious roads.

Bikes: Lots. Mostly steel. Mostly heavy. Mostly geared, and very low, at that.

Some pics from a Hungarian "worst bike lanes" site, just so you know you're lucky over there. (Though the Brits are bloody hard to beat with that phone booth right in the middle of a bike lane. Give credit where credit is due...)
I guess he feels protected between the rails
Classy container placement. Thanks a lot.
Yes, the above road is a bike path
I guess they know we like to use chopped-down bars... We're lean anyway

Bike lanes all suck no exception. Fight them where you can! They marginalize cyclist and give motorists an excuse on why bicycles belong off the road.

I need to get a picture of the bike lane on 6th ave in the 20s in Manhattan... basically, it's a place to double-park your frickin' truck. Bad times.
Swedish bike lane (with its own signal.)
