Rodents of unusual size? I don't think they exist.

does anyone on here actually realize that half link chains are unidirectional?
they're not made for back pressure, since their design on forward torque pulls the plates together, while back pressure pulls them apart. if anyone has really really bad chain problems, take it from a BMX head, and get either a wipperman pro, or a kink chain. |
ive seen it in the movies once (ok more than once)...simply jam your pump in your spokes and you will stop.
There is always the safest brakeless bmx/ted shred stop...jam your foot in the rear stays. In my opinion safer than the front crown and better on the collateral than the pump in the spokes. |

Especially the red-haired dude - endo doing the front wheel + foot maneuver sans chain into traffic-filled intersection.
OK, not really, because that's mean. |

For some reason I could see the red haired guy rocking out, true fixed junkie style.
As for unidirectional half link chains, please buy yourself a helmet. Or don't. Actually don't. I'm with d D. |
I forsee a market for microprocessor-controlled chains that have servo feedback to sense impending derailment and adjust itself. Also, "smart pins" that remain intact if installed properly, or turn to dust if not, upon first tension.
Our fates are in the hands of engineers, or in the hands of those who know how to install chains that have been around for what, a century? If I install my own automobile wheels and one flies off, I don't holla "Damn You Lug Nut Stretch!!" Is this thread over yet, or are we still being constructive? oooo Pink Floyd just came on. |
