Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Rise up, believers, for you are being slandered like the Charleton Heston in Planet of the Apes. Those damn dirty apes with their effete ornate lug worship on their fey njs coolio noodles. Arise and take back your birthright, lead them to the water and launch them out into the sea of their sickly wants and needs on their delicately painted rafts lunching on their doomed shipmate's purchasing decisions. Rise and Shine, Believers. Rise and Shine. The Revolution has already begun.

The Jesus Mohammed and Buddha butter jam? I don't believe you. Maybe you should draw me a cartoon to illustrate your point.

You just described both my bikes in 10 words. I have been shamed. I am going to go buy a stock pista this instant so I too can join EL REVOLUCIÓN!

I was on a ride this winter, and overheard somebody slandering somebody else's Pista (to his face, at least), and he was all "Some stupid human made your bike. Mine was made by robots. ROBOTS!"
Good point, I thought.

I bet it was.

I don't understand how all these people here think they can step when their bikes were built by mere mortals.

Yeah no crap. Who made your frame? Mr. naganabealivein200years?

The Weld-a-tron-12000 will still be making quality frames when I buy my great grandson his first bike. If he hasn't already enslaved the human race.
