reliable source for half-links?

i need a 1/8" half-link for my SS MTB and none of the LBSs in town claim they know where to get them. i searched around online but i found several obscure sites and i'm always hesitant to deal with someone online whom i've never heard of... has anyone had good experience with a source they could recommend me to? as well as a brand you might prefer? thanks

John Dacey at Business Cycles has Izumi half links. They're super-beefy and last forever.

Go to a shop that has a lot of BMX stuff. They will know what you are talking about, and probably have them in stock. It really sucks to have to pay $7 shipping for a $2 item.

But, if you can avoid using them, I would. I put one on my chain so I could have my EBB in the middle of the shell, and my chain exploded twice on one ride.

get the shadow conspiracy halflink chain its the cool thing with BMX so shops that sell BMX should have it. You might need a few extra links to make it fit though

Most shops will have access to them through some distributor. QBP and J&B both carry the KMC halflink. Been awhile since I saw a Downeast catalog but they probably both have them as well.
