http://fixedgeargallery.com/2006/apr/Fixedrider-2.jpg it looks like butter with the halflinks. wow, i just noticed the back side of the crank. no hole. this guy wins fgg for sure. |
|
Dude obviously lives in or goes to NYC often and has some serious money invested in these pieces. Glad to see he has varying degrees of trackness: pure bred race, race/sunday rider, daily beater, coffee shop cruiser. Now if only I were nearby a drome and had stacks of cash, I could justify such a commitment to track bikes..

Were did that come from!!! I actually contacted BMW months ago and asked them if they would build a fixie...I never got a response

ps anyone see that pink mini-link in habitat's window? single crown avy with louis vuitton gaiters. f'in sick I emailed him as well about the bike. I dont think its a park frame since the wheels are the same size. i think the park bike takes a 24" rear wheel. Whatever it is i want one! |
he built the coffee shop frame. the cranks are also a custom job.
|
Finally some cool bikes on that site!
|
What's with all this BMW talk?
What am I missing? |
brooklyn machine works....as far as I can tell
|
Ah, yes.
Not the automobile company. Nothing to see here, move on people... |
search back for the fixedgeargallery forums "show your bike rooms" (or something to that effect thread). Dude's basement is like an adult candy shop of fixed gear porn. Ridiculous. My fav. is his yellow yamaguchi w/ the mavic rims.

For more crossover craziness check out this: http://www.tonicfab.com/track.html Landon from Tonic Fab has a BMX background but started welding street oriented MTB frames. Now he's done a track frame. There are more proto pictures floating around but I can't find one right now. He used the same stay design from the Fall Guy on a track frame. Complete juice. I don't think the production ones are gonna have it though. :( |

edit: his post is on the 2nd page. It looks more like a bike shop than a bike room. |
Fixedrider has some serious cash in his stash now that I've seen those "non bike shop" pictures...

Dude works, or at least used to work, at bicycle habitat. He's always had nice bikes.
That Brooklyn's great. There is a BMW track frame around, but it was a one off that one of the builders made for himself. |
i spoke with joe from brooklyn machine works this afternoon. He told me that the frame is called the gangsta. there are only about 9 of them on the street. They will be doing a run on these frames very soon and they will come in 2 sizes a 42" and 46". The one in the pic is the 42". since there is a sloping top tube the two frames should cover a wide range riders. Being a bike from BMW it will be heavy bike geared for more street riding than riding on the track. As soon as he sends me some more info i will update everyone that is interested. the frame and fork would be around $750 in any color. I don't know about anyone else but i will be getting one!:)
|
yeah, its gonna be tough not buying one.
|
42 and 46 INCH? What tube is being measured? Are you sure that's not CM?
