Look what I got.
The deal was too good to pass up. I traded a mountian bike I wasn't riding for it. I now have my single-speed road bike (it's got a freewheel. Maybe it'll get a flip-flob hub someday).
That's pretty ill (pun!), I dig the ss cross. I've been batting the idea around in my head of a ss cross with magura rim brakes, and road levers (they made 'em!).

Good luck finding the levers, the folks who managed to get a pair before they went out of production aren't going to give them up anytime soon - unless you got really lucky, I suspect you'd spend well over $200 for the levers along. I almost think it would be easier in some ways to make your own.
Also, hydraulic rim brakes are only marginally more powerful and controllable than V's - and also heavier - speaking from experience. They are 100% more awesome, I admit, but I would just get XTR V's and spend the money I saved on other parts.
