So.
It occurs to me that there are more than enough kids on fixed gears and singlespeeds in New Brunswick (NJ, by the way) to warrant our own thread. Right? I mean, DC has one. Plus we only hang out together when we're at races in NYC or Philly, which is dumb. NB needs to roll deep.
Vegan Ice Cream Late Night Fixie Invasion tonight. Meet 9pm college ave library.
I propose fix gear fridays and summer bike polo as well. Don't call me, my phone is broken, but PM me here.

no one from NB has been at any of the races(that are outside of NB) since 12 monkeys but thats really besides the point.
i think its not called hub city for nothing but you should probably open it up to everyone not just fixie riders. NB has a big cycling contingent that needs to get together and party.

I've seen a huge influx of riders in the past few weeks, guess the good weather is upon us.
I might finally get myself a new wheel set, so I'd be down to show it off on fridays

nah man, we were at the reload race april fools, then smells like jersey the following weekend, I think we disappeared for the past 2 weeks, but I could be wrong, Dan's crazy ass seems to be showing up everywhere, but yeah, I see the bike population exploding recently with the nice weather, but hey comes down to it, we know the few of us that are sick enough to ride all winter too
and I think most of us would be down for a weekly thing throughout the summer, I'm sick for tonite, but def be down as soon as my ass gets better

so i'm with dan, open it up to everyone! and yeah,we should make this a weekly thing, it sounds fun.

PS Ice cream ride is off for tonight. Rain ruins everything. Critical mass on friday, 5 pm at the george st fountain, and maybe another ride this week? Who's down?
Also, $1-to-enter, winner-takes-all races in the park next week after classes end? $1 track stand competitions? Anyone?

I think as soon as we start to get it rolling so that it's an everyweek thing, the word will spread real quick, I say def start this week, doesn't even have to be anything big, just the equation thats brought us together so far. a few good laughs, maybe some good food, maybe a couple beers, and always a good time.
Also with the nice weather coming back, we got a nice lil backyard, and mini fridge, and picnic table out back. If we get off our asses, and I clear it with the roommates and guuys downstairs, we could even drag it back here to sit around and have a couple beers. BYOB of course, but let's see this thing materialize.

i think bikes should be involved somewhere in there and dont forget FOOTDOWN! But the 1 dollor to enter races around the park sound cool we could make footdown 1 dollar as well. sounds like a good time.

OK.
So... Critical mass 5 pm friday, followed by the fundraiser bike library party (my band is playing, appologies in advance). Does that mean no fixie friday this week? I might be down if we do it in the afternoon (2:30 ish). Thoughts?

Are you kidding me man? You've never seen a fixie? All winter we've got a fairly consistant crew of about 10 or so fixies riding rain, sleet, or snow, and since the nice weather's come out, I've seen 3 new fixies that I haven't put a face with yet, thats not counting all the SS, and SS MTB's and all the others

Was there a J&J meeting or something yesterday, bunch of suits and old people walking around in the morning, guess a share holder's meeting? And a lot of cops in the streets directing traffic. And they were all so polite. They called my sir.
