Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

visiting philly

I'm in philly for the next week-month (unsure) for work (stagehand/rigging & a design build of a backyard)
& I'd love to meet some forum members, go riding & see the sites.

don't drink, but not sXe

unfortunately my bike is a langster, but nothing on it is stock anymore & i built the wheels myself, the rear is a gorgeous old campy track rim crowsfooted to a phil.

ps:i come from a place with hills & i'm riotously undergeared, i could drop for a new chain if need be, but if anyone had some extra drivetrain parts i could borrow while in town that'd be hot.

i'm staying in the northern liberties. *right* by Honeys sit&eat.

I live right north of there, and would be glad to show you around. But with an infant in the house, my availabilty is pretty limited.

I would totally ride with you to some of the organized rides though. With the north side crew.
