May as well post that same comment in 99% of the threads in this forum. I think it's a good idea.

I don't think you're necessary, but that's just my opinion.

Small bikes are more fun. It's a scientific fact.

yeah, i ride a mark v 50 - that looks like one as well. i prefer a smaller bike for my daily ride. it's likely lighter, stiffer, and has quicker handling than if it had a 53cm mark v frameset , albeit not by that much.

edit: i changed my statement above, because the claims were generalized. 46x17 is right.

46x17 05-02-06 06:11 PM

More myths less facts! Wooooooooo!

Sinfield 05-03-06 10:08 AM

Thanks Sin-a-matic, I kinda like it too...

As far as it being too small, it's a 53cm and I intentionally ordered it small because I wanted really quick, tight handling in the city and good standover height. It feels perfect, in fact I'm actually considering picking up an even shorter stem so that I don't feel as stretched out. It might not be the most perfect setup for a century but that's not what this bike is for. With the risers it feels so responsive and quick when I'm riding through the city which is exactly the feel that I was going for when I ordered the 53cm.

The following is a really old picture. Since then I've switched to Nitto 123B drops, took off the front brake, and put on a matching yellow top tube cover.
