Half the people on this board probably live in a crappy subdivision and drive a crappy car, wear crappy clothes made by slaves in the 3rd world and eat crappy processed foods that are 20% high fructose corn syrup by weight.
Then they like to come in here and diss crappy frames. And if you live in a well constructed, pre-war house, drive a fine German automobile, wear american or European made fashionable clothes and eat all organic locally produced gourmet food and want to diss people who have to buy crappy frames, then fu ck you, rich-boy :-) bf |
I like my Windsor, I have a feeling it isnt going to be my only fixed gear.

I locked up next to a SE Draft Lite today and spend a minute checking it out and wow! It is a cheap looking bike. The components looked to be the same quality as an X-mart bike. I'd seen plenty of Lagers which look OK and was surprised by the drop in quality between the two models.
The BD bikes, regardless of how you feel about their marketing, offer much much higher quality at the same price point. (Of course my conversion is even better at a similar price!) |
I started this thread. It is ancient and it reflects a time when there was much hate and distrust of BD. Now all you cheap *******s think BD is the greatest thing in the world.

And it would be an even greater relief if they would stop slathering their bikes in the pretentious decal-age and give up the ruse of "different companies." A simple new logo for Bikesdirect, attached to one discreet place on the bikes. Period. BD has earned it's own respect here, like it or not. They should realize this and step up to the plate. |
