Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

i feel like i've seen that bike around and someone said it was a johnny coast piece. not sure who owns it though. clearcoat over bare metal is a great aesthetic though. i want a yamaguchi like that.

Being that clearcoat paint wouldn't work as when it chips / scratches it would rust, they do make clear baked enamel finishes that would be resilient as all hell.

Yes, they are. My bike has a clear powdercoat on a colour one and on bare metal of the lugs.
