Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

ITM 800 open. looks nice for a fully opening stem and i can't get my bullhorns through a regular one-bolt quill stem.

if it's custom, i guarantee it won't take twelve weeks. mine was pretty damn custom and took 6 freakin' months. if i had it to do again, i'd have gotten a kalavinka or a yamaguchi and been considering my new frame well-used by now...

I love me some Salsa stems. I may switch back to my Easton on the fixed bike to get the road bars a little higher though*, and use the Salsa with my bullhorns so I can switch bars easily when I get bored.

*The fork steerer got cut before I found the perfect stem. Gotta love threadless. *sigh*.

I was wrong. $250 for that Coast stem isn't too far off. I priced out a custom Bob Jackson stem to match my upcoming custom frame and it was over $300. That Coast stem may just be the ticket.
