Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I think it's awesome how only like two of the chicago kids have committed to this.

I guess you guys can go to the fixed-gear symposium and kick it with all the geezers in the boonies...

You know I went to the Baker Ranch out in Death Valley (actually the Panamints).

The sink was gone.

It was kind of a bummer.

Scared of those hills, I guess. I took a look at the SF bike map. I have never had to plan a route in three dimensions like this.

Pfft. We can get dropped together.

I'm actually looking forward to the hills. Chicago is flat and Detroit is even flatter. One of the things I loved about riding in Milwaukee was the hills. Granted I was on a geared bike, but still hills are fun.
