STP fixed?
I just signed up for STP today. Anyone here doing it fixed? I signed up as a 1 day rider, which makes gears a little more likely for me, but if we have a BF posse... well... I set up my Soma a little more distance friendly today just in case.

It's always been held on a weekend that I had something else pressing to do but I've ridden some of the route in smaller chunks... there are only a couple large hills that I can remember being a PITA.

Shouldn't really be a problem. Just the one hill in Tacoma. But I would think the bridge would be sketchier?
Just find a gear ratio that you are REAL comfortable with.

Oh man I want to do this, since I'm going to be there. I don't have much cycling experience in the NW though, what would I be getting myself into if I tried to do it fixed?

this time of year, not much rain. but hills aren't foreign to people in this region.
i've definitely heard of people doing it fixed, and have a friend thinking about it. no idea if the fixers have planned/are planning to do it in one day or two.
