for whatever reason, this might be my favorite don build i've seen... i love the crime scene paint!

kennethalan 05-14-06 10:18 PM

Maybe you can stoke on it.

Moximitre 05-14-06 10:19 PM

I hope I don't get ostracized fo this, but do they race tandems on the track? I've never seen that.

edit: Hot damn, that is a mighty fine bike.

Serendipper 05-14-06 10:22 PM

It's mainly for the blind at our velodrome....

Not a competitive event.

space_robots 05-14-06 10:24 PM

I'm trying to imagine how synchronized skipping and skidding would work

popluhv 05-14-06 10:25 PM

Curved seat tube, for the extra short wheelbase?!

morbot 05-14-06 10:32 PM

Moximitre 05-14-06 10:34 PM

how sensual.

morbot 05-14-06 10:43 PM

paints kinda corny. the chalk outlines and traffic cones on the downtube?

koyman 05-14-06 11:11 PM

Lucky/Poor Stoker.

ImOnCrank 05-15-06 01:10 AM

The brazing on that schwinn is unreal. Closeups DW?

concernicus 05-15-06 01:37 AM

Gnarly awesome or gnarly bad?

Msngr 05-15-06 03:35 AM

would zipp wheels support two riders?

r-dub 05-15-06 03:35 AM

Until a few months ago I had a genuine Pogliaghi track tandem w/ full record parts hanging in the shop on loan from a local collector. ****ing gorgeous. Back in the heyday of track racing tandem events were rather common.

Regarding comments about fixie tricks: people don't really skid or trackstand on the track these days, the point is generally to go very fast in a circle, which is significantly more fun that it sounds.

Every year Trexlertown hosts "Tandemonium." It's not quite as tandem-filled as it sounds, but it's still amazing and fun to watch. Last summer a pair of guys wiped out pretty bad. I don't think either were seriously hurt, but tandem crashes evidently look really awkward and painful.

And yeah, that bike is entirely cool. I'm wondering the same thing about the Zipps being able to support the extra weight...

Heck, I don't even consider them for my bike.
