Now Serendipper-
Bear in mind that there are creative people afoot in the world. This creativity differs from person to person. I know that we all appreciate things on varied level, when intelligence brushes aside fear and stereotypes and allows for individual appreciation to occur.

Plus, we cannot all have our creative abilities end with a flushing sound...like yours. (insert emoticon of choice here)

How do you people have so much time on your hands?!

165, don't you have a lesson plan to draw up? And the rest of you, get freakin' jobs!

i'm waiting for spud and his vegan nachos to show up. looks like he may be otherwise occupied, so i'll sit here in the peanut gallery with a pie and some sparks.

on the subject of pie, here in DC we're nearing rhubarb season. and while i agree with the OP that salome and 165 are great people, i have to say that they don't seem to be big pie connoseurs.

fresh rhubarb pie is the complete and utter awesomeist. i may be forced to make some.

cheesecake tastes great, but it's soooooo heavy and bad for you. i mean, it's good when you eat it but 5 minutes later it's like a brick in your stomach that you can't help but regret.

(please don't tell my fellow wisconsinites i've said that. i mean, my relatives have cheesecake at their WEDDINGS!)

but, if you join Team New In Town chicago, i'll make you pie, TIP. really. (how can you turn that down?)

It's all about the "Double D" anyways. We park on the sidewalk. Good times!

But yeah, I'm headed to SF this weekend. I'm gonna apply to be one of SF's finest.

Then I would totally look like Frankie Fix of "Crime". Haha!

+1 on the rhubarb, we used to grow some in the backyard and the mom definitely knew what to do with it

My grandparents had cheesecake at their wedding! HA!
I'm not a big fan of rhubarb pie, but all others I cannot refuse.
So, if you were to make a blueberry or apple or anything really, I probably could not be stopped from coming down.
Isn't that great? Someone you've never really met asking for a bribe to meet you?

Oh, and Salome, [165] and all other Chicago-landers, I think some festivities are in store for Chimbly's return to the midwest. Can this happen?

OOh OOh oooh!!!!

I've got the perfect time/place/etc for celebrants! And sellabrants.
ON June 10 errbody from both Mill-wall-key and Chick-ago should come to Mad-Isson for The Race Formerly Known as Lord of the Chainrings And Now Known as Something Else but Similarly Awesome. Perfect, right? There isn't really room for everybody to sleep at my place, but I can MAKE room (or find other places, etc, or you could, or something).

THat's my submission to this thread, and I can contribute more if neccesssssary.

I totally lost track of what this thread was all about. I know some of theses people but have no idea what's being said.

I DO know that I like pie. Like cookies better. And I'll work for brownies.

Oh, and my friends and I used to see who could eat the largest amount of fresh/raw rhubarb before we had to spit it out. Kids....

I think it had something to do with someone who was handing out pumpkin bread after stages of the tour and meeting a teacher who is more than willing to teach me a thing or two about the track.....after he spends an hour or so sweeping it off for us rookies.
