Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? holy **** internet drama involving bicycles

https://community.livejournal.com/rva/994204.html

"Dear slovenly, fat ass, low-riding hippie chicks who were bicycling three and sometimes four abreast across the full width of a two way street in the fan tonight:

1) Get a clue and learn how to ride a bike in a city.
2) Get a gym membership, or at least some underwear.
3) Failing either of the above, please at least invest in one of these. (link to an oversized load banner)

Please, if not for your own good, think of the rest of us...safety first!"

make sure to read all the comments too. complete with trolling, grammar naziing, and an ignorant comment for every two posts. this thread is my favorite part.

Trolls! Nothing like a rousing internet argument to stir the blood

edit: the responses are better than the original post

Stupid people. If they knew that bicycles got the cars on the road in the first place and got road conditions to improve.

they need to watch a short film called yogurt vs gasoline. crazy stupid but fun to watch.

I like how the OP posted the first msg at 21:59, then probably went out with his school buddies, talked about it all evening, drinking wine coolers, raving louder and louder about "fat chicks on bikes." Then came home at 2:18am and saw that no one had replied, so feeling sorry for himself, he posted again.

That's funny. Or maybe it isn't. You decide.

Youth,

The thread you linked to is HY-LARIOUS. I like the detailed discussion about rules of the road followed by "He couldn't be blind, he was driving."

Oh Internet. You make my day.

Well, if the person is half intelligent they won't put anything that bad and if they do they don't use their real name.
On Facebook which is mostly real names, most of the pictures aren't too bad, the worst is some stupid kid drinking out of a boomerang vodka bottle.
But hey, **** it, if somebodies stupid enough to put crazy **** up there, they're probably stupid enough not to hold a job from any potential employers that might google them. (before every interview I've been on i've been googled, I know because they either tell me or by the tracking cookie on my website which shows IP address and referral)

ha ha I like this guy:
"Oh, allow me to clarify then - my intention was to both be critical of their dangerous and illegal behavior AND be insulting at the same time."
