Excitement V: The Painter Strikes Back
|
two different colors? neat.
what's the estimated time of arrival on that guy? |
no it's all the same metallic silver. just the way the light hits it makes it look that way.
ETA—the 12th of never, feels like. but one day soon i expect to see a big box UPS its way in through the door. |
oh, way cool about that paint.
yeah, i can't believe you sold your bike before the new one came. i'd never be able to do that... |
well i didn't think i was going to. i was expecting them to overlap. sucks
|
Is that a Kalavinka fork crown?

courage. |
Bike looks hot. But I have a more important question that is totally unrelated to the thread topic: Is your little sub-name (EL BAJAPANTY) taken from the red van that I used to see parked by the Parade Grounds in Brooklyn that has that charming title emblazoned across its windshield? Or is that van alluding to some other Bajapanty use with which I'm not familiar?
|
I'm sorry to say this, but that looks absolutely terrible. I hope this is a cheapie repaint and not a new frame, because if its the latter it would be completely unacceptable.
EDIT: I'm not trying to be a dick. Its just that orange peal and other textures are not the qualities of a professional paint job. |

This painter does ONLY high end work. The pics do NOT do justice to what he can do, they are only "in process" shots to allow us to know how far along he is. In the words of my older brother, "don't be a dick" (edit...you beat me to it) he still has to sand between coats, apply decals and clear and sand those stages too... DW |

well pig you know what they say about assumptions.
You could always try saying somthing like. Is that paint job done? Cause i can see lots of orange peel etc. before going off and calling the paint job terrible and unprofessional. Plus why on earth would you first assume a frame that is in a paint booth and obviously has only been sprayed is totally finished? Edit: |
Its a repainted Bikes direct! Just kidding nice looking frame and i dig the color.
|
transylvania?
|
nice!
i want to see that frame in person. eddie, you have all the parts ready to buid with? you still want that seat? |

L.S. makes the Rivendell lugs, and they are a casting industry leader. http://www.allproducts.com/manufacture6/longshen/ Interesting article about the company here: http://www.bikelugs.com/articles/pcd_longshen.html Can I get an "Amen", Don? :) |
