If you've got a pair of vice-grip pliers and a 6" length of old chain around - instant chain whip. Just lock the pliers down on one end of the chain so that the free end sticks straight out from the front. Works for me.

You still haven't gotten it off!??!?!
****ing-a! ;) |
hold the wheel between your legs and tap the cog teeth with a cold chisel and lump hammer. if the cog shatters it will come off really easily.

Ah, that's how you do it.
When I tried converting my 3/32 whip to 1/8, I was tryin gto actually pop the pin out of the handle and install a whole new chain. Your way seems to make more sense. |
