Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My singlespeed & Roadie!!!

My singlespeed is a stock Motobecane Messenger except for a 105 bottom bracket & 175 mm 105 crankset. My beloved roadie is a Salsa Campeon. Ultegra 9 speed group with Ksyrium wheels! Her are the pics of both.

I don't really dig the paint job on the Moto. I think that's a weird orangeish color, but hey- if it floats your boat, keep sailing.

175s on the fix! I wouldn't do it, but more power to you if you aren't having any troubles.

That salsa looks like she likes to RUN.

Thanks for the compliments on my bikes! I commute on the Motobecane for a round trip of 30 miles with lots of rolling hills. I am not comfortable with any length of crank other than 175mm. I am very picky on my bike fitting. Both of my bikes are almost identical on the measurements on frame size, stem, bars etc. And by the way my Salsa really likes to run!!!! It is my all-around race bike and I would not spend hard earned cash on any other bike!!! Unless someone wants to put me on a sponsored ride!
