Add front brake to OLD beach cruiser

Just bought (cheap) 2 old "Earth Cruiser" bikes to use on the beach. Coaster brakes barely worked, so I am having the coaster hubs (ancient Suntour) overhauled. I hope that helps, though I am not very optimistic. Any advice/links/part supplier ideas for adding a front brake to these great old clunkers? Or should I just do what I do best - ask the bike shop to fix it? Thanks for your help.

as long as the fork is drilled it should be duck soup to lap a caliper on there. chances are you've got an old caliper rattling around that will fit. Brake reach might be an issue. I'm guessing these will require long reach calipers. Weinman Center pulls are plentiful on old beaters form the 70s.
