just came across this:

http://www.specialized.com/OA_MEDIA/...eset_Red_l.jpg

at $1100 for the columbus slx alu frame, carbon fork, hs & seatpost it's up there.

sashae 05-27-06 09:12 PM

Not a whole lotta design differentiation between that and the T-1.

There are plenty of differences that I see

joe_curry 05-27-06 09:33 PM

ka12na 05-27-06 09:45 PM

Cool.

Only if I could be like you guys and not make a cheap decision, I'd be riding one of those cool IRO thingymajiggers. :D

Sloping top tubes suck

marqueemoon 05-28-06 12:30 AM

Integrated headsets are gross.

Doctor Who 05-28-06 07:28 AM

I like it.

flipflop 05-28-06 10:27 AM

What brand is that?

You've got to wonder about how many places you can stick the name... At least its got a few less than look tends to do... :D

pathdoc 05-28-06 10:37 AM

Those are nice looking bikes. I really like that first frame.

Surferbruce 05-28-06 12:31 PM

by far the best specialized i will say that.

sashae 05-28-06 02:59 PM

I dunno... I just don't like the design of most modern bikes that much -- they look bulbous and doofy, especially the shaped aluminum bikes. Some of the modern carbon frames are done well, but compact geometry + weird shaped tubes = meh. Cannondales look better for aluminum, to my eye.

sers 05-28-06 03:19 PM

if i were to ever buy an aluminum track frame, it would be a cervelo p2t

I have an older Langster for street duty and I love it. Its quick, no toe overlap (haha), and I have done 75+ mile stints in the street and been comfortable and fast all day (all the Langsters have the same geometry). However, I would not give them 1100 (or the 8 - 9 hundred on eBay) for the S-works edition. I prefer aluminum and if Im going with a aluminum track bike Im going with my Colnago.

Fugazi Dave 05-28-06 09:59 PM

I'd mount the Langste Pro any day of the week...including Tuesday.

(Tuesday's coming - did you bring your coat?)

nitropowered 05-28-06 10:12 PM

I think the S-works langster looks like an E5 with track ends
