Paul Hubs - cheap!

some of you may have read that my phil wood wheelset was stolen this week. well i found an online store selling black paul hubs for $178 a pair w/ discount so i'm spreading the wealth. cheapest price i've seen (unless i'm in the dark and everyone already knows).

trons 06-04-06 06:51 PM

looks like $198

edit: oh geez didn't read the discount part. looks like a good deal then.

They are making almost no profit on those hubs.

i'm sure they have to be, considering the "new" version are at least 3 or 4 years old.

Anyone check and make sure the rear hub comes with the lockring?

It does say "lockring included" on the page, so I would guess it does :)

space_robots 06-05-06 08:09 AM

damn, fixed/free only

Learn_not2burn 06-05-06 08:48 AM

crizzap, my bad. reading comprehension is key.

HexagonSun 06-05-06 08:49 AM

that appears to be the only flavor in which it is made. single fixed or fixed/free.

srsly 06-05-06 10:50 AM

that's almost $80 cheaper than anywhere else i've looked, which isn't bad. i've been thinking about building some new wheels and this looks like a good place to start. think black hubs/spokes/mavic open pros would look nice on an 06 chrome pista? ;p

Yeah universal cycles has some pretty good deals on a lot of stuff. PLus if you live in portland you can go pick it up, so you dont have to pay shipping. I got a pretty good deal on my surly frame.
