awesome. they are very comfy, and pretty stiff so they are good for riding. The odd sole isnt really noticable.

everything everyone is posting still has a soft sole. i wear through the soles, not the sides... suede rubbing on suede really doesn't do anything.

I know this thread was about to die, but I ran across these yesterday. Anyone ever try 'em? I wonder if the velcro straps would catch making it difficult to enter the clip/strap.

Whoever said these shoes look like crap is full of crap. Probably some nerds who are totally not into sports and completely unathletic fatties on fixies. You see them everywhere. Those shoes rock the free world. And if you don't know, those are made for indoor soccer, but the low profile soles make them totally awesome fitting into some track pedals and clips. Word. And F the haters that say otherwise on these kicks..

by far the best kicks i ever used when i used toe clips and straps were cross country running spikes. the stiff ass forefoot prevents the aches associated with the "foot wrapping around the pedal" and the midsole is flexible enough for walking. because they're a running shoe, the molded toe part prevents keeps the middle of the toe clip from digging into your big toe. these are what i rocked:

i have to say that i wouldnt't trade my sididom's for that setup ever again, but if you're set on clips, spikes are the way to go - if you want stiffer, go with racing models

found these for $20 and rode them today. great low profile, hard sole for the pedals (yet not too flexible), laces on the outside so they won't get caught. comfortable as ****.

I had a pair of those. They were fantastic for $20 Payless. Unfortunately, you will completely destroy them in about 4 months.
