i meant to post this yesterday for the pdx kids, but didn't. yesterday, the "leisure cat" went down. we started, with some people riding cruisers and choppers, in a park. we pretty much sat in lawn chairs and listened to the radio and drank beer until it seemed like a good time to go, then everyone left as they saw fit.

first checkpoint: writing an essay about your greatest act of leisure while on the clock, eating pie and drinking beer. leave whenever you feel like it.

second: eating popsicles, telling the joke on the stick to a resident to be graded on the joke. leave whenever you feel like it.

third: ground kontrol (adult arcade where you can drink pbr and play pinball at the same time)...4-person teams were assembled to play pinball and then scored by ranking on the team. play an extra game or two, leave whenever you feel lik eit.

fourth: playing "speed scrabble", which was a pretty fun game, at stumptown coffee. have a coffee and a beer (even at the same time--get a double espresso in a pint of chocolate porter), leave whenever.

fifth: foosball tournament, graded on how your team does. leave whenever

sixth: martini obstacle course. grab a martini and ride around the block. don't spill. points lost for spilling. have another martini, or two or three or four or....leave whenever you feel like it.

to go to the end, a bar with cheap drinks and cheap food to revel the night away. except me. cuz i'm a *****. i didn't sleep friday night and just couldn't hack doing it again last night.
