here's the question, yo:
I'm gonna building a new set of wheels with phil wood hubs (once I get commission...)
Anyway, the point of the thread is that my shop recently received every color that Velocity makes in Deep V's, so, that leaves me with very many options to choice from.
What color should I choose to go with my black track bike?
Black, Grainy Black (feels like cement), Silver, Orange, Bubblegum Pink, Chocolate Brown, Lime Green, Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, White, and whatever other color I may have forgot.
I need your opinions, baby!

+1 I also tend to like the loud colors like yellow and green, even on a blk bikeOriginally Posted by hyperRevue

I always liked the dark grey. unless you want something that really contrasts the frame.
the goal
Black or silver - then you'll still like the way they look in a couple of years when ridiculous colurs look just that. Stay classy.
Ditto Momentum but I've already done the whole "SF treatment" thing. After a while, you yearn for the classy. The last four sets of rims I've bought are all classic rims like Campy Omega Stradas, Saavedra Featherweights, Mavic cxp-12's and Araya's. All low-profile, silver or hard anodized and non-machined. Granted, I also just realized that they're all NOS too.
But that's just how I roll.
If I were doing a deep v, it'd be silver. At the very most, black, non-machined.

With a black bike you could really go with just about any color. black or silver are most likely to still look good to you in the long run when the colored rim fad wears off (and it will remember the 80s?). If I was going for a colored rim I might go with brown, but that's just because I like brown lately. What's your favorite color?
Me talk pretty one day.
I normally go w/ silver (deep v profile or box rim), but if I was doing a non-machined wheelset I'd probably go all-black (rims/nipples/spokes/hubs).
Subtle colours will age better than fluorescent nightmares, unless that's your thing.
