Riding long island

Anybody have any route advice getting to Bayshore NY from Manhattan. Obviously I can find a route through Queens but i don't really know what roads i can/should take from there to Bayshore. Bayshore is on the south side of the island if you dont know. thanks in advance.

You can go over the Queens bridge/ 59 street bridge and take Queens blvd til the end. Turn on Jamaica ave to Merrick blvd . Merrick blvd to Nassau county when it will become Merrick Road. I say take Sunrise Highway to Bayshore it is faster. go by Green Acres Mall.

i'm interested to see what people come up with, too. ive heard that there's a way travelling along the south shore along the belt parkway greenway - maybe to n conduit ave and then to 27 [sunrise hwy]
you might check the transalt site for the maps - they include the suburban routes as well as the city.

North Conduit to Sunrise Hwy is better. I used to take that route to Amityville.

I rode out to Riverhead and Montauk that route also.
