i'm only interested in the front hub, how reliable/ smooth is this hub??

I have been running one for over three years now

quite smooth...folks say they are reliable...don't expect a monster sized flange cause they ain't

pretty dang nice. Only reason I would buy one is if I found a wickedly sweet deal (cheaper than a Formula <$40). It's just a front hub, you can get away with rolling a less expensive front hub, a rear hub is much more important to buy quality though. I personally ride Formula fronts and Phil, Paul rears. I've heard nothing but good things about miche hubs. Only good things about them being great bang for your buck hubs. Right in between Formulas and Phils (about the only hub I can think of in that slot).

Mine have gone through 2 POS maritime winters with no complaints and no servicing. I think they might even come with the more common 15mm axle nuts these days, which would be a bonus.

that's good to hear because i'm getting a pair really cheap and getting em laced to deepVs.

though i've heard that they wear out fast... obviously two of you haven't seen any problems with a decent amount of wear over a long period of time. anyone know if anything's changed about these hubs in the last few years?

i have them laced to deep v's and i like them fine.... i also really like their simple black/yellow logo.... classssy!

where can i get a cheap new miche front hub?

Not any better performance than an IRO or other cart. bearing hub, therefore no reason to buy.

i have to say, for what its worth.. i like my miche laced wheels better then the iros i have.. but its hard to tell if its all hub 'cause the rims are different

here's a tip ,;) run the miche hub until you do a major service then pop phil bearings in (they fit perfectly ) you and your hub will live happily ever after .

They're alright. The axels rust pretty easily if you don't take care of them but it's just superficial. They roll just as nice as any good cartridge bearing hub should and the look smooth and don't break nearly as much as my formulas did.

I've been running Miche large flange hubs laced to Mavic cxp-33s front + back for almost a year now. They've been through lots of rain (that's England for you) and plenty of abuse (rough streets).
Bearings are still smooth, my only complaint would be the 14mm tracknuts but that just means getting a 14mm wrench - end of problem.

Great product for the money (probably even cheaper in the US).

It's a front hub...

Rolls wonderfully, very little breakaway friction (after setting the tension, mine will pendulum on the weight of the weld on the rim alone) , smooth smooth smooth. Real track nuts, and a 14mm wrench is another shiney tool for your kit.

i can't get over how it's pronounced mee-kay instead of meesh.
