It's only like.. my favorite movie.

I saw it in a THEATER! when I was 12. Then I rode my blue schwinn varsity everywhere until I got a silver Centurion in 1982 or so. Now I have a different bike so don't ask if you can have my Centurion.

As you might have guessed, my BF screenname is from the movie.

Good flick. I'm a Fifty+ citizen on the Forum, so I find I'm more and more drawn to that babe Barbara Barrie who played Dave's mom.

i picked up the dvd recently and i swear all the italian slurs are dubbed over with "eye-tal" instead. can anyone confirm?

and, dang, brakeless singlespeeds at the end? those fratties had the freshest exchanges.

and there was also a bizarro luke wilson (to go w/ a bizarro beck). and, man, young dennis quaid and the gang sunning themselves at the quarry. like the locker scene in top gun.

Little 500; an odd race now stocked chock full of legitimate collegiate racers who train the entire year for the pitiful little thing. You have to be an IU student to participate.

i sort of like quicksilver better, but yeah, this is a good flick. with quicksilver i want to fastforward through all the dialogue. it's like a bike porno movie or something.

there are usually a few cat 2 and 3 riders in the field. one dude was the head of the rules committee and changed the rules so he could race this past year as a cat 2.

the field has a lot of frat teams, but there are a ton of independent teams as well. people flip out about the race every year... which really means just getting wasted.

when they go in for the exchanges, they're usually skidding on the cinders going into the hand off.

I thought this was a thread written by one of my ex-girlfriends. Three of them were "cutters," but it had nothing to do with bikes and everything to do with self-mutilation.

Man, I sure know how pick 'em.
