Threaded track fork?

So yeah.

These things seem near impossible to find nowadays. Anyone have any ideas?

They have some other forks too.

Pat Eisenhauer 07-17-06 07:22 PM

I was there today. They don't.

sashae 07-17-06 07:43 PM

Spicer?

hyperRevue 07-17-06 07:47 PM

All threadless.

By "track" you mean without a brake hole or what?

Pat Eisenhauer 07-17-06 08:05 PM

Rake really. I would be happy for just 38mm rake and any look. I may have to suck it up and buy some ugly overpriced carbon 40mm road fork.

There was a perfect one on eBay last week but I was like 'nah, I will just go buy something at Bike Works'.

hyperRevue 07-17-06 08:12 PM

Bike Works is really out of their straight blade?
I love that fork.
I own two.

savier_pdx 07-17-06 08:15 PM

well ****, i was just about to order one of those bike works forks tomorrow. ****.

Pat Eisenhauer 07-17-06 08:18 PM

Yeah they only had the Tange which is like 50mm rake. They told me they could order some but it would take a bit.

jayrooney 07-17-06 08:19 PM

check bicycle doctor on grand in williamsburg.
he usually has the "bike works" straight blade chrome fork, same price as bike works.

Pat Eisenhauer 07-17-06 08:23 PM

Cool!

I ordered a bikeworks genecric straight-blade fork after some slight difficulties getting through via e-mail and telephone on Friday. Rob did not mention they were out of forks. He was unable to give me my total price and said he would shoot me an e-mail w/ that info. I haven't recieved one yet so I'll give them a ring tomorrow. I want me fork soooooooo bad!!

Finding a threaded 1inch drilled track fork is frustrating!!

Find somebody who's track bike got its rear end run over by a car, but the fork is still usable? Sorry man, good luck.

I will definitely consider this.

I just got off the phone w/ Rob from Bikeworks. They haven't processed my order yet. I'm trying not to be upset...What's everyone's past experience w/ them?

ImOnCrank 07-18-06 01:05 PM

Trackstar has a few in stock right now.

porkchop 07-18-06 01:08 PM

dw, or other builders, i was having the same dilema a few months back. i didn't consider a builder because i feared it would be a little rich. ballpark figure for above mentioned fork?

explody pup 07-18-06 01:19 PM

I know it's not listed on the site, but does IRO sell the Angus fork separate? Might be worth a call.

mcatano 07-18-06 01:23 PM

Depending on what you want and who you're talking to, a custom fork will probably be anywhere between $150-500.

jimmat 07-18-06 01:54 PM

soma and surly

Good to know; however, I'm sure there are folks that would charge less than you and folks that would charge more than you. So...
