Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I just can't wait till you "swerve" into traffic since you can't even be bothered to stop before running a red, get creamed and then make a thread about how the new york gestapo refused to cite the driver for hitting you. Hopefully you won't be able to ride anymore after that and thier will be one less dip**** to give us all a bad name.
with that post i think you just took the lead...

What we really need is a sub-forum called "Urban Anarchy" to get all of these kinds of threads off the SS & Fixed forum. Or--- get some of the VC evangelists out of Advocacy & Safety in here so their heads asplode.

While I may be a ******bag, my comparitively low sense of selfimportance and my failure to assert that I should be the sole arbiter of right an wrong(based purely on my convience) prevents me from ranking very high in the selfrighteous ******bag category.

I watch the cars, not the lights, because I haven't been hit by a light and there have been many instances that the light has had no influcence on the car's behavior. I got hit trackstanding at a redlight, by a car at the same red light. The guy just drove into me, looking over his shoulder to make a right on red, and not looking at all where the car was going.

accually you rank quite high in both selfrighteous ******baggery and hypocracy! Do you really believe what you write?

I guess I do "bad" things on the streets all day, but I don't care if it's right or wrong. It's what I do. If that makes me a self rightous ******, then so be it, but I'm not dead yet and frankly, I've been having a ball. Sure, people make attempts on my life all the time. What if the world had perfect bike lanes and drivers were attentive and courteous? It would be so dull for an adrenaline junkie, such as myself. There are few greater thrills than wringing my adrenal gland dry by hurtling through traffic at top speed. If that happened, I might need a new way to almost kill myself.
