Laptop Sleeve Recs?
Anyone have any recommendations for a good, not-too-expensive laptop sleeve that I can encase my computer in and throw in my messenger bag? I hate riding with my computer-specific bag and would rather get a foamy sleeve for protection.
I'm also willing to take any DIY suggestions you might have. Sincerely Yrs, Dorky McDorkdork. |
Go to Staples.

I have a reload executive that I use for going to work. It comes with a laptop sleeve. The bag has ridden safely through soaking rain with no damage to the laptop, but when the bag was accidentally set down in a small puddle ( :/ ), the water soaked through the bottom of the bag and the sleeve, to damage the screen a little bit.

Check out the elecom zeroshock. It's made of that memory foam stuff they put in high-end mattresses. It's absolutely killer. There are usually a few on ebay, but you can also get them at www.shinza.com

I had one that I custom made to fit my iBook out of a blue foam sleeping pad. Used duct tape for the sides and bound on some velcro to close it with double sided carpet tape. It cost me about $1.25 to make and it's lasted nearly 4 yrs.

Awesome company. Great products. My sleeve has the infamous french president bashing tag too... I have a Super Ego bag and Brain Cell sleeve for my ginormous Dell. (sigh, I so want to go back to Apple...) |
