Fixed gear Rear Tire? bald?
I have been riding fixed for a bit now and have recently started power braking, i have noticed others riding suicide but thier rear tire looks crazy, it is completely warn down and even looks tubeless or something, it also looks slightly bigger than a normal tire. Does anyone know what kind of tire this is and some pros and cons to riding with it. I really dont think that this is just a really warn down tire because i have seen multiple people with this similar looking tire.
any help would be awsome peace be with you riders |
if you're serious please try and rephrase your question. do you mean slick? or literally worn down so that it's almost through to the tube. and what do you mean tubeless? there are tubeless tires and there are clinchers. choice of one over the other has little to do with skip/skidding, which i assume you mean by power braking, or appearance for that matter. as for the size, tires come in many. some folks prefer a wider tire, up to 35mm or so, on the street for comfort reasons. i don't believe tires that wide come tubeless, as tubeless is pretty much race-specific.
if you simply mean a wide slick it would be helpful to know that, as we could then point you in the right direction |
