Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

how strong is a 28H F rim?

i cant find a 32H rim 650c, so im thinking 28H instead since there easier to buy. Can a 28H be built strong, should i use 14ga. spokes? can it survive NYC streets? P.S. dont wont deep v's either!

zach at trackstar built my 28h front wheel - radially laced. One year going strong, and I effing pound it with all 200lbs + 30lbs bag on board. 650 is a smaller wheel so stronger again. Quality wheel build makes ALL the difference.

cheap = world of pain.

+1 to strong as a dragon if you build it right. I ride 28s LF hubs on nyc streets every day on 700s
