That is a Dahon Hon Solo. It comes with a flip-flop hub so fixing it is very, very easy. That is the bike that inspired my conversion. I think the Hon Solo sells for about $900, give or take. It was a limited edition bike for 2006.

I fixed one of their older Boardwalk singlespeed models. Fits in the trunk of my Honda CRX and I can take it out on my lunch time rides rather than lugging my full-sized fixie. I need to get a smaller cog and/or a bigger chainring though as the gearing is a tad bit easy.

The fenders, rear rack and wheel reflectors have been removed. And I'm not the only one. There is also acavengo and some others on the folder forum who've done the same.

eddiebrannan, it actually is a ton of fun. My bike is not exactly the same, definitely not as pretty, but very similar.

sohi, just have to run slightly larger tires. It's really not bad.

I am thinking of getting a Brooks, without suspension though.

i was thinking this would be about a dahon.
when i already have about four bikes, and a lot of money burning holes in my pockets i plan on getting a sweet little dahon and carrying it with me everywhere... i'll even stick it in my bag when i ride my full sized bike so i can have a spare method of transportation.

I rode about 1/2 mile with a guy down market street a week or so a go who had a fixed folder. he was having a blast, he said his only complaint was the seatpost was flexy because of how long it was.

that seatpost and stem made me crack up...but I'm drunk so...

I just noticed that the seatpost has an integrated pump! That thing is so cool.

Haha, we had one of those at my shop. I got to ride it around as a SS mostly and a little bit as fixed (although we only had a cog lying around and no lockring so there was a lot of brake usage). It was okay, but since you can't adjust the stem I had a really weird upright riding position with the mustache bars.

Other than that it was awesome. Handmade wooden fenders, Brooks saddle, leather grips... what a bike for bike nerds. The cream color is much nicer in real life.
