Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Big Props to Park Tools

So last week my Park bike repair stand broke. I emailed them and they sent me back this one sentence response:

"Sorry about the problem, we will send a new part."

I got the part within a week.

Park tools may be a bit more expensive than others, but they stood behind their produce (edit: product, not produce). Just thought I would share.

i love when companies stand behind their products like that. that's the best benefit of buying higher-end stuff, when it breaks it's taken care of rather a snappy, "we don't have a warantee / the warantee doesn't cover that."

Park is great, but I wish they'd improve their tire levers (awful plastic that bends goofy) and their lockring tool (ugh, it's awful).

so, Park, if you're listening, keep up the good work (and spend some time on these tools please! I'd use them all the time)

Lockring tool sucks.
The Professional Mechanic Floor Pump is the most amazing thing I've ever handled.
