I am not important enough for a title...

I am thinking of going clipless with my new bike... I figure I upgraded to a new bike why not upgrade my riding. What is the best option(s) out there? It seems to be eggbeaters?

HAHAHAHA nice one. Beaters if you don't like to fuss and just want to ride. I rode normal beaters, some people still get candys though. It's a wench if you are ever in a jam and need to ride them without cleats though, it's asking to crash. I recently switched to SPD-SLs and can't complain. They are cheap on ebay, plus you can rig them up with straps for standing start and sprints at the track. Only advice on the beaters is to stay away from the base ones because they'll rust if you are doing year round riding, or atleast thats what everyone says. My beaters were perfect though after a year and a half. I highly recommend beaters. Other people will tell you atacs though.

I think he means Shimano SPD-SL road pedals. They are very nice if you don't mind wearing a road shoe (though they are more walkable than most road cleats). I have never seen them with straps, though. I would love a pic. 105 SPD-SL pedals can be found for cheap right now ($39 shipped for black or silver here http://probikekit.com/display.php?code=M1032).
