philly, anyone want to lend me a chainring?
 

I need a 130 BCD, 1/8", 48 tooth chainring (actually anything close to 48 is probably fine, too). I'm still troubleshooting the drivetrain on my new bike and before I drop money on a new chainring (my current is 3/32 and I think that's my problem), I want to make sure. I know this is a longshot, but if anyone could help me out here, that'd be sweet.

Go to the bike church at 40th and Locust tomo between 6.30 and 9pm. I dropped off the chainring that came with a pair of Sugino XD's a little while ago. It's a 48 tooth 1/8th 130 BCD chainring. Just what the doctor ordered. You might have to do some searching for it, but I think it's still there. If you've never been there before, go around the back of St. Mary's church, and look for a bunch of kids with bikes waiting around. Oh, and ask for Bill, if you feel like it.

Heh. I see Matt at the church frequently. I was about to ask why you couldn't get one there or ask Ricky or someone for one, but I've been beaten to the punch.

sideburns, are you sure it was 1/8 width? because I have the same cranks, and the chainring that came on them was 3/32.

chip - are you sure? I don't think I've been there more than a few random times.
