Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

the talk **** about your bike's new owner thread

I knew it would happen one of these days. I was cruising home from work when I spotted my old conversion. It's a very distinctive frame. Hard to miss. This fool had basically taken everything cool off of the bike including the fenders which took hours of cursing to install because I had to rig hardware for them. I think he might have even bought a new wheelset for it. I didn't stop to find out. Totally stupid for a gaspipe conversion if he did though.

After all of his whining about the price (which was very reasonable by the way), where do I see my old bike parked? It was locked up in front of the most expensive bar in the neighborhood naturally. I hope the dude has one too many appletinis and tries to coast

Ok. Who's next. Paging Juvi...

the owner of my first conversion is a the most worthless poser ******bag i can think of. he thinks he's all bad ass riding around town with the pirates but can't even get a straight chainline. when he tries to true a wheel he doesn't even know which way to turn the spoke wrench. i heard he can't get it up....

oh yeah, i've still got my first conversion

the new owner of my handbuilt, fillet-brazed, one-of-a-kind work of chromoly art is either the toothless, face-picking, prison sex having, scum-of-the-earth tweaker who stole it, or the low-life meth dealer he traded it to for a couple of rocks.

I'd tear the fenders off too. I'd also laugh at anybody that felt the need to ***** about it on the internet.

I wish I could actually sell one of my bikes so I could have a story instead of a yard full of bikes.

I've never seen my old conversion out and about. Which is kind of worrying, cuz that thing was a pile of crap and I hope it didn't get the guy killed.

The owner of my old bike is a really cool dude. I see him all over the place, and at mass, and he's always riding the **** out of my old Schwinn Traveller (chrome), and he's a nice guy, too. And he usually has some sexy biker girl with him too.
