i like these a lot and own a whole bunch of them, but have started to notice that when i sweat and keep riding they get itchy. that's no fun. i want something equivelent to these that don't get uncomfortable.

Bike shorts are underwear. They're also outerwear. That's what makes them so great/simple.

i'm not real keen on the term compression shorts in the context of underwear..just sounds too uncomfortable

I won't ride in boxers since that time I snagged a nut on the edge of my seat.

Interesting thread... I was wanting to get a weeks worth of riding gear without spending $200+ in cycle shorts

Currently wear semi-wicking boxer briefs from Wal-Mart, but when they get wet they get really stretchy and loose, and become more like boxers. :rolleyes:
