Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Odd day today...

First, when I was locking my bike outside of my bank (front wheel on quick release, so locked alongside the frame and thre rear with single kryptonite lock) I have noticed two shady characters talking about my bike.
45 minutes later when I was out again unlocking the bike thay come again asking if I really needed to lock the bike like that in front of a bank - I snapped something about not caring about the bank since it wasn't mine and left.

Ten minutes later I collided with another bike and went down. This was in no car zone, I was far enough into the road not to be afraid of pedestrians but this lady rode cross ways with her head turned other way. She left before I checked my bike.

Yet another 10 minutes and I merged right about 100 feet in front of a messenger riding fully suspended mountain bike. He caught up at the next red light and said " But you are f**ked when you have to brake"

WTF?

If it were not for the odd days and the snotty humans, we'd not know which rides to enjoy.
Hope you're enjoying yourself today.
Namaste, friend.
