I bought this frame a while ago and was pondering building it up into my day-to-day fixie. any thoughts?

hmm... my set up would be... old shimano 105 cranks squared tapper. A set of old road wheels (campy 6/7 sp or similar from ebay). A descent seat and seat post, front and rear brakes... maybe used shimanos will work fine. and u are all set... have fun.

freeskihp, if it fits you then you should totally convert it. i dont know much about the frame brand but for a first conversion it doesn't much matter. pm me or post in the dc pirates thread and we can talk details. in terms of components (especially hubs and rims) you get what you pay for, but i wouldn't advise a sucide (road wheel with a fixed cog loctited on) hub. if you want to go fixed we can make it happen pretty cheap. at least one brake is a really good idea.
